Transport Supervisor

The Transport Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily transportation operations, ensuring the safe, efficient, and timely movement of employees, materials, equipment, or goods.

The role involves supervising drivers and transport staff, coordinating vehicle schedules, maintaining fleet standards, and ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable transport regulations.

• Supervise and coordinate daily transport operations and driver activities.
• Plan and monitor vehicle schedules, routes, and assignments to ensure timely transportation.
• Ensure all vehicles are maintained in safe and roadworthy condition.
• Monitor driver performance, attendance, conduct, and compliance with company procedures.
• Conduct regular vehicle inspections and coordinate preventive maintenance and repairs.
• Maintain accurate records of vehicle usage, fuel consumption, maintenance, inspections, and incidents.
• Ensure compliance with transportation, health and safety, and company regulations.
• Monitor fuel usage and identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.
• Respond promptly to vehicle breakdowns, accidents, delays, and other transport-related issues.
• Coordinate with operations, HR, logistics, and other departments regarding transportation requirements.
• Ensure drivers possess valid licenses and required documentation.
• Provide training, guidance, and performance feedback to drivers and transport personnel.
• Investigate transport-related complaints, accidents, and incidents and prepare reports when required.
• Ensure vehicles are clean, properly equipped, and maintained according to company standards.
• Prepare regular transport and fleet performance reports for management.
• Support the implementation of transport policies, procedures, and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Diploma or bachelor's degree in Transport Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
• 3–5 years of experience in transport, fleet, logistics, or vehicle operations, including supervisory experience.
• Valid driving license appropriate to the operational requirements.
• Good knowledge of vehicle maintenance, fleet operations, and road safety practices.
• Experience supervising drivers and coordinating vehicle schedules.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and transport/fleet management systems is an advantage.
