Overview

Our client is looking for a dynamic and execution-focused Trade Marketing Manager for a growing food company.

This role will be responsible for driving in-market brand visibility, trade activation, retail execution, and channel growth across General Trade, Modern Trade, and distribution networks.

The ideal candidate should have strong FMCG/food industry experience with a deep understanding of shopper behavior, retail execution, and trade promotion management.

1. Trade Marketing Strategy & Execution

  • Develop and execute trade marketing plans aligned with brand and sales objectives
  • Drive category growth through effective in-store visibility and activation programs
  • Plan and implement channel-wise promotional calendars and trade campaigns
  • Ensure strong execution across GT, MT, wholesale, and regional channels

2. Retail Visibility & Merchandising

  • Manage POSM development and deployment across markets
  • Drive shelf visibility, display excellence, and in-store branding initiatives
  • Coordinate with sales teams and distributors to ensure execution compliance
  • Monitor planogram implementation and competitor visibility

3. Promotions & Consumer Activation

  • Design and execute consumer offers, retailer schemes, and sampling activities
  • Work closely with brand and sales teams on launch activations and seasonal campaigns
  • Evaluate ROI and effectiveness of trade promotions and market activities

4. Sales Coordination & Channel Development

  • Partner with sales teams to drive outlet expansion and improve secondary sales
  • Support key account management initiatives for Modern Trade chains
  • Analyze sales trends, channel performance, and market opportunities

5. Market Intelligence & Reporting

  • Track competitor activities, pricing, promotions, and market trends
  • Generate insights from market visits and retailer feedback
  • Prepare monthly trade marketing reports and execution dashboards

6. Budget Management

  • Manage trade marketing budgets efficiently
  • Ensure effective utilization of spends with measurable business outcomes

Desired Candidate Profile

  • 6+ years of experience in Trade Marketing within FMCG/Food & Beverage companies
  • Strong understanding of retail execution and distribution dynamics
  • Experience handling General Trade and/or Modern Trade channels
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with sales, brand, and supply chain teams
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
  • High ownership with strong execution capabilities
