Our client looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented Finance Manager for a fast-paced FMCG business.
The role will be responsible for managing financial planning, commercial finance, budgeting, reporting, compliance, and business partnering across functions.
The ideal candidate should have strong experience in FMCG, distribution-led businesses, inventory-heavy environments, and high-volume transactions.
The role requires someone who can balance financial governance with commercial agility and support business growth through strong analytical and strategic inputs.
1. Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
- Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning
- Monitor business performance against budgets and provide variance analysis
- Prepare monthly MIS reports, dashboards, and management presentations
- Analyze profitability by product, channel, geography, and customer
2. Commercial Finance & Business Partnering
- Partner with sales, marketing, supply chain, and operations teams to drive profitability
- Evaluate trade schemes, pricing strategies, margins, and promotional spends
- Support decision-making through financial modeling and commercial analysis
- Monitor ROI on marketing campaigns and channel investments
3. Accounting & Financial Reporting
- Ensure accurate and timely closure of monthly, quarterly, and annual accounts
- Oversee general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and financial controls
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and statutory requirements
- Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities
4. Working Capital & Cash Flow Management
- Manage cash flow planning and liquidity requirements
- Monitor receivables, payables, and inventory levels
- Optimize working capital and improve cash conversion cycle
- Ensure strong controls around distributor settlements and claims
5. Inventory & Cost Management
- Track inventory valuation, slow-moving stock, and wastage analysis
- Monitor product costing, procurement costs, and manufacturing overheads
- Drive cost optimization initiatives across the business
- Support supply chain and procurement teams with financial insights
6. Compliance & Controls
- Ensure adherence to taxation, GST/VAT, and regulatory requirements
- Strengthen internal financial controls and processes
- Support risk management and compliance initiatives
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data
7. Team Management
- Lead and mentor the finance and accounts team
- Drive process improvements and automation initiatives
- Build financial discipline across departments
Key Requirements
- CA / CMA / MBA Finance or equivalent qualification
- 6–10+ years of experience in finance, preferably within FMCG / consumer goods
- Strong understanding of:
- Commercial finance
- Inventory management
- Distribution-led business models
- Budgeting & forecasting
- Financial reporting
- Experience handling high-volume transactions and multi-channel sales
- Strong analytical and stakeholder management skills
