Role Overview

  • Could you be the full time onsite Trackwork Aluminothermic Welder we're looking for?
  • Take on a new challenge and apply your aluminothermic welding expertise in a new cutting edge field.
  • You'll ensure the highest quality and safety standards in railway welding, contributing to the seamless operation of critical rail infrastructure.

Your Future Role

  • Executing aluminothermic welding (ATW) in accordance with approved Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS).
  • Installing molds, performing preheating, and executing thermite welding operations.
  • Preparing rail joints, including cutting, cleaning, alignment, and gap adjustment.
  • Performing finishing operations, including grinding and profile correction.
  • Conducting visual inspections and ensuring compliance with quality standards.
  • Maintaining welding tools, molds, and equipment in proper working condition.
  • Applying strict adherence to HSE procedures and PPE requirements.
  • Identifying, reporting, and assisting in resolving non conformities (NCR).
  • Ensuring weld traceability for each joint executed.

All About You

  • Degree in welding, metalwork, or a related technical/vocational field.
  • Experience or understanding of aluminothermic welding (ATW) on railway projects.
  • Knowledge of grooved rail welding (tramway/LRT systems) and vignole rail welding.
  • Familiarity with Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and QA/QC requirements.
  • Strong safety awareness (HSE first mindset).
  • High attention to detail and precision.
  • Strong expertise in rail joint preparation, including cutting, cleaning, alignment, and gap adjustment.
