An architectural consultancy firm is seeking a Temporary HSE Engineer to support project-specific health, safety, and environmental requirements during construction. The role involves implementing HSE policies, conducting inspections, audits, and training.

Responsibilities
- Review and approve contractors' Health & Safety Plans in accordance with client requirements and applicable legislation
- Review contractors' method statements and risk assessments
- Monitor occupational health and safety implementation on construction sites to ensure compliance
- Conduct workplace inspections to verify that activities are carried out safely
- Carry out weekly joint HSE inspections with contractor personnel and ensure timely closure of corrective actions
- Assist in conducting OSH/EHS audits, including fire safety audits, quarterly audits, heat stress assessments, and welfare facility inspections
- Follow up on contractor incident investigations and ensure corrective actions are implemented
- Prepare and submit HSE reports, including monthly statistics, management walk inspection reports, and other documentation
- Verify the competency of contractor HSE personnel in accordance with client requirements
- Monitor contractor HSE objectives and action plans to ensure targets are achieved
- Coordinate and organize HSE related service requests to meet project schedules
- Organize and facilitate HSE meetings with project teams, contractors, clients, and senior management
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related discipline
- Relevant HSE certifications (NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA, or equivalent preferred)
- Minimum 5 years of HSE experience within construction projects
- Strong knowledge of UAE HSE regulations and industry best practices
- Excellent communication, reporting, and coordination skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple site activities

Overall Purpose of the Role
- We are seeking a Temporary HSE Engineer to support project specific health, safety, and environmental requirements during the construction phase.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and monitoring HSE policies, ensuring compliance with client requirements, legal regulations, and industry best practices.
- This role will focus on maintaining a safe working environment and supporting the successful delivery of project HSE objectives throughout the contract period.
Key Responsibilities

Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related discipline.
