A well-established architecture and engineering consultancy in Dubai seeks a Senior Accountant to oversee financial operations, project costing, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities
- Manage day to day accounting operations including general ledger, AP, AR, and bank reconciliations
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports
- Monitor project costing, budgets, work in progress (WIP), and project profitability
- Oversee client invoicing, consultant payments, and revenue recognition in line with project milestones
- Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations and prepare VAT returns
- Coordinate annual audits and liaise with external auditors, banks, and regulatory authorities
- Manage cash flow forecasting and financial planning
- Review payroll, employee expense claims, and statutory payments
- Ensure compliance with IFRS and UAE financial regulations
- Develop and improve internal controls, accounting policies, and financial procedures
- Support management with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
- Mentor and supervise junior accounting staff
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CMA, or CA preferred
- Minimum 5 8 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 3 years in the UAE
- Experience in architecture, engineering, construction consultancy, or professional services environment highly preferred
- Strong knowledge of UAE VAT, IFRS, and local financial regulations
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Tally, Zoho Books, QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills

Key Responsibilities

Qualifications

- Experience with project accounting and consultancy billing.
- Knowledge of project budgeting, WIP reporting, and contract accounting.
- Strong problem solving and leadership abilities.
- High level of integrity and attention to detail.
