Job Summary

  • Hands on experience in positioning, sizing and selling all products within the Software Defined Datacenter portfolio.
  • Certified and trained on SDDC and Hybrid Cloud concepts and deployments.
  • Technology Specialist role responsible for full pre sales assistance including opportunity requirement analysis, solution design, costing, presentations, demos, and proposal preparation.
  • Requires excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Job Responsibilities

  • Works deals assigned to the sales team, prioritizing effort based on maximizing total impact on team productivity and profit.
  • Proactively scopes the technical solution required to address customer requirements, assesses customers met and unmet needs, and recommends solutions that optimize value.
  • Secures input from all necessary solution stakeholders within the customer firm.
  • Coordinates closely with internal sales, sales support, and service resources to align solution design with customers’ business requirements.
  • Meets assigned targets for profitable sales growth in assigned product lines, market areas, channel, or teams supported.
  • Provides coaching and professional development to team member sales associates.
  • Opportunistically pursues additional business development opportunities within customer firms.
  • Achieves assigned revenue and profitability quotas.
  • Maintains high customer satisfaction ratings.
  • Completes required training and development objectives.
  • Works closely and collaboratively with the sales and account teams supported and customers.
  • Improves negotiations and contract closing by providing support to the Sales Team.

Qualifications & Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT from an accredited institution.
  • 10+ years of sales engineering experience in a business to business, large/strategic customer segment.
  • A record of achievement and technical solution expertise in a comparable sales role.
  • Product certification or equivalent technical credential in VMware, Dell EMC, Lenovo, Red Hat, or Nutanix.
