Responsibilities
- Develop and execute regional tax strategy aligned with business objectives and shareholder value
- Advise leadership on tax implications of mergers, acquisitions, restructuring, and new market entries
- Monitor legislative changes across GCC jurisdictions and assess impact on operations
- Design tax efficient structures for cross border transactions, intercompany arrangements, and service delivery models
- Ensure timely and accurate filing of all tax returns (VAT, corporate tax, withholding tax, Zakat where applicable)
- Oversee tax provision calculations for financial reporting under IFRS
- Manage tax audits and inquiries from regulatory authorities (FTA, GAZT, and other GCC tax bodies)
- Maintain robust tax documentation, transfer pricing files, and audit trails
- Lead automation and digitalization of tax processes (e invoicing, ERP tax modules, e filing platforms)
- Build and mentor a high performing tax team; manage external tax advisors and consultants
- Collaborate with Finance, Legal, and Operations to embed tax considerations into business workflows
- Drive continuous improvement in tax controls, governance, and reporting frameworks
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Law; Master's or tax specialization preferred
- CPA, ACCA, CTA, or equivalent tax certification
- 6–8 years in tax, with 3+ years in GCC tax environment
- IT services, technology, or professional services experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of UAE VAT, and GCC corporate tax developments
- Deep expertise across GCC tax regimes; experience with complex cross border structures
- Advanced Excel, ERP systems (SAP/Oracle), tax software
- Fluent English; Arabic highly advantageous

- This role serves as the primary tax advisor to senior leadership, supporting business growth through strategic tax planning, risk management, and operational efficiency.
