The Role
The Technical Product Owner owns BigGeo’s technical product capabilities roadmap end to end, from feasibility to communication.
The role sits between Product, Engineering planning, and delivery, translating build feasibility, timing, and limitations into an actionable roadmap.
The role communicates the Spatial Cloud’s technical capabilities internally and externally.
What You’ll Do
- Own the technical product capabilities roadmap and translate engineering feasibility into plans for Product and Sales.
- Bridge Product, Engineering planning and strategy, and delivery to improve priority decisions.
- Assess build feasibility, delivery timing, and limitations for proposed features and customer commitments.
- Own internal and external communications about technical capabilities and what they enable.
- Use AI tools for roadmap synthesis, capability documentation, and cross-team reporting.
- Partner with Engineering leadership to sequence delivery against roadmap priorities.
- Build repeatable systems and cadence for technical roadmap decisions.
Required Qualifications
- Experience owning a technical product roadmap in a software or SaaS environment.
- Comfort translating engineering constraints into actionable language for Product, Sales, and Leadership.
- Track record bridging Product and Engineering without becoming a bottleneck.
- Strong written communication for internal and external technical capability explanations.
- Technical fluency without needing to write the code.
- Demonstrated use of AI tools for roadmap synthesis, documentation, and reporting.
Nice to Have
- Experience in an early-stage or category-defining company where the roadmap was still being invented.
- Background in data infrastructure, developer platforms, or technical B2B products.
- Familiarity with geospatial or spatial data concepts.
- Experience translating technical capabilities into customer-facing narratives with Sales or Marketing.
