Role Overview
The Data Partner Manager is responsible for signing data providers, listing their datasets on the marketplace, and co-selling with them to activate existing customers.
The role runs both a direct partner-package sale and a co-sell motion to expand platform adoption.
The role owns partner sourcing, commercial structure, activation, consumption, and relationship growth.
Partner Acquisition
- Identify and recruit spatial data providers across geospatial, mobility, demographic, satellite-derived, environmental, POI, and property data.
- Lead recruitment from outreach through negotiation and contract execution.
- Structure platform credit commitments, overage rates, customer credit distribution, and dataset DTC pricing.
- Build business cases covering platform credit ROI, DTC revenue potential, and customer distribution opportunities.
Registered Customer Co-Sell
- Co-sell alongside data providers to bring their existing customers onto BigGeo as registered users.
- Help partners explain platform credits, spatial workflows, and paths to first value.
- Develop partner onboarding materials, credit allocation strategies, and customer success frameworks.
- Track activation and consumption and address underleveraged credit allocations.
Partner Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary commercial relationship for each partner after launch.
- Monitor platform credit consumption and DTC revenue performance and address underperformance.
- Coordinate with Enterprise Sales to prioritize recruitment based on customer demand.
- Provide partner and customer feedback to Product and Engineering to influence roadmap discussions.
Required Qualifications
- At least 5 years of experience in partner development, data commercialization, marketplace sales, or enterprise business development.
- Experience managing a full commercial sales cycle from prospecting through contract close and post-close relationship management.
- Experience with marketplace, partner, or data distribution models, including provider sales and co-selling.
- Comfort working with technical concepts and understanding dataset value for enterprise customers.
- High autonomy, self-direction, and excellent commercial communication are required.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in data, geospatial, infrastructure, SaaS, or adjacent domains is a strong plus.
AI Workflow Expectations
- Use advanced AI tools such as Claude and ChatGPT to analyze usage data, prepare business reviews, draft communications, synthesize feedback, and automate repetitive work.
- Use AI-driven workflows across systems such as Monday.com, Slack, and Google Workspace and share effective practices with the team.
Collaboration and Success
- Work cross-functionally with Account Executives, Solutions Engineers, Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Leadership.
- Lead with clarity, take ownership of assigned accounts, act as a trusted advisor, and represent partners internally.
- Within the first 90 days, establish partner health plans, identify expansion opportunities, drive adoption, and deliver structured product feedback.
- Over time, retain and expand referenceable partners and document playbooks used by the Customer Success team.
Work Environment
- BigGeo operates as an in-office team from its Calgary office.
