The Lead Spatial Cloud Solutions role designs and delivers how organizations build, deploy, and scale solutions on the Spatial Cloud.
The role combines platform architecture, spatial systems, real-world implementation, and direct engagement with enterprise customers and partners.
The position owns technical solution design and delivery for high-impact solutions built on BigGeo infrastructure.
Solutions and Architecture
- Lead technical design for enterprise and strategic partner Spatial Cloud solutions.
- Translate operational requirements into scalable spatial architectures, data flows, and compute patterns.
- Build reference architectures, reusable implementation patterns, solution blueprints, and production deployment models.
- Evaluate datasets, APIs, integrations, and customer environments while balancing immediate needs with reusable platform patterns.
Implementation and Engagement
- Take solutions from architecture through validation and production implementation.
- Build prototypes, integrations, data workflows, and reference implementations as needed.
- Work with enterprise technical teams, data providers, platform partners, and developers building on BigGeo.
- Communicate complex spatial architecture to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Platform Enablement
- Create reusable solution frameworks and document deployment approaches for repeatable implementation.
- Identify common implementation challenges that should become platform capabilities.
- Provide feedback to product and engineering teams and help establish technical standards for production solutions.
Collaboration
- Partner with engineering and product teams on infrastructure and platform capabilities.
- Collaborate with sales and partnerships during technically complex strategic opportunities.
- Use AI-assisted tools for research, analysis, development, documentation, prototyping, and solution design.
Technology and Tools
- The role spans cloud platforms, distributed infrastructure, geospatial frameworks, spatial databases, spatial and temporal datasets, APIs, and developer platforms.
- Relevant environments include real-time spatial compute, data pipelines, transformation systems, spatial indexing, cloud-native applications, and AI or machine learning systems.
- Operational tools include Slack, Google Workspace, Monday, and modern AI tools.
Required Experience
- 7+ years in geospatial systems, spatial platforms, location intelligence, data infrastructure, or related technical environments.
- Required experience includes production spatial solutions, spatial data systems, geospatial compute, spatial indexing, data pipelines, and integrations.
- Candidates must translate ambiguous requirements into architectures, communicate across audiences, deliver through deployment, and operate autonomously.
- Practical use of modern AI systems for technical productivity, analysis, development, or solution design is required.
Preferred Experience
- Preferred backgrounds include cloud-native spatial platforms, GIS, spatial analytics, spatial databases, distributed systems, and high-performance data platforms.
- Additional preferred experience includes developer-facing APIs or SDKs, platform adoption, reusable solution frameworks, and large or real-time spatial datasets.
- Relevant industries include logistics, infrastructure, energy, government, mobility, and AI.
