Job Summary
Coordinate plant operations activities to ensure power and desalination plants run with maximum performance, efficiency, and effectiveness.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Implement policies and procedures for power and desalination plants.
- Monitor daily plant performance and operating parameters.
- Troubleshoot issues with power and desalination operations staff.
- Coordinate approved operational changes to improve efficiency.
- Follow up acid cleaning and distillate-stage sampling when required.
- Inspect plants during annual maintenance and follow up maintenance activities.
- Prepare monthly plant performance summaries.
- Manage IMS objectives, targets, programs, resources, and reporting.
- Ensure legal, contractual, organizational, environmental, and HSE compliance.
- Identify root causes and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Assess competency gaps, evaluate reporting employees, and provide on-the-job training.
- Report emergencies, incidents, near misses, deviations, hazards, and environmental aspects.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor of Engineering or postgraduate engineering qualification with power plant engineering specialization is required.
- 4–8 years of experience in power, desalination, or reverse osmosis plants in the Middle East is required.
