Role Overview
The Technical Manager leads the technical function for landscape and swimming pool projects.
The role ensures designs, drawings, and technical documentation are accurate, buildable, and compliant with UAE regulations and client specifications.
The role manages a multidisciplinary technical team that includes BIM resources.
Responsibilities
- Lead landscape and swimming pool projects from design review through execution.
- Review and approve technical drawings, shop drawings, and construction details before site issue.
- Coordinate with consultants, architects, and MEP teams to resolve technical discrepancies.
- Manage, mentor, and allocate work across engineers, draftsmen, and BIM personnel.
- Oversee BIM modeling, clash detection, and coordination across landscape, pool, MEP, and structural models.
- Ensure compliance with approved specifications, international standards, and UAE pool safety codes.
- Review contractor and subcontractor submittals, material specifications, and method statements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Landscape Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- 10 or more years of experience in landscape and swimming pool projects, including 3 to 5 years in technical management.
- Proven experience within a UAE contracting firm.
- Strong knowledge of Revit, Navisworks, BIM coordination workflows, and UAE approval processes.
- Strong leadership experience managing technical and BIM teams.
