Role overview
Lead proposal engineering for water industry processes and products.
Support complex water and wastewater treatment projects through process selection, system design, technical reviews, and bid engineering deliverables.
Core responsibilities
- Plan and formulate proposal engineering deliverables for water and wastewater projects.
- Select unit operations and treatment products after reviewing tender specifications, design standards, safety requirements, and customer contracts.
- Design ultrafiltration, reverse osmosis, biological, conventional pretreatment, and advanced pretreatment systems.
- Develop process descriptions, calculations, PFDs, HFDs, P&IDs, layouts, load lists, instrument lists, and civil input drawings.
- Prepare CAPEX, OPEX, O&M, and ROI calculations to optimize process and cost.
- Conduct global design reviews and participate in or lead HAZOP and SIL reviews.
- Interface with customers, local project engineers, proposal managers, and sales teams.
- Mentor engineers and support bid engineering activities.
Required qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, environmental engineering, or another relevant technical discipline.
- 9–13 years of proposal or tender engineering experience.
