Job Summary
Veolia is seeking an experienced Piping/Plant Design Engineer with AutoCAD and 3D modeling expertise.
The role contributes to water treatment system projects and ecological transformation initiatives.
Essential Responsibilities
- Draft as-built drawings using AutoCAD.
- Prepare civil, equipment, piping, cable tray, and pipe support 3D models from engineering documents.
- Prepare skid designs, plant engineering models, and project deliverables.
- Prepare structural and pipe stress analysis packages, including weight datasheets.
- Develop material requisitions, review supplier technical offers, and prepare techno-commercial bid evaluations.
- Draft equipment and foundation layouts using AutoCAD.
- Perform pipe support span calculations, review 3D models, and select pipe supports.
- Perform stress analysis with simple load cases and combinations.
- Conduct 3D model reviews from concept through completion.
- Support interdisciplinary activities and other engineering disciplines.
- Manage technical documentation and follow quality procedures.
Must-Have Requirements
- AutoCAD expertise is required for as-built drawings.
- Prepare civil, equipment, piping, cable tray, and pipe support 3D models using tools such as Plant 3D, Inventor, Revit, E3D, or Open Plant.
- Prepare skid designs, plant engineering models, and deliverables.
- Prepare structural and pipe stress analysis packages, including weight datasheets.
- Develop material requisitions and review supplier technical offers.
- Prepare techno-commercial bid evaluation tabs.
Good-to-Have Requirements
- Draft equipment and foundation layouts using AutoCAD.
- Perform pipe support span calculations and review 3D models.
- Perform stress analysis with simple load cases and combinations and select pipe supports.
- Conduct 3D model reviews from concept to completion.
- Knowledge of ASME B31.3 Process Piping Code and ASME B31.1 Power Piping Code.
- Awareness of interdisciplinary activities and support for other project disciplines.
Education and Experience
- Engineering degree in mechanical engineering or experience in mechanical engineering.
- Seven to ten years of mechanical design experience in water, power, oil and gas, or a related industry.
