Role Overview

  • The Technical Quality Inspector is a technical expert for assigned aircraft/workshop responsible for clearing critical unscheduled/scheduled maintenance and repair actions.
  • Responsible for daily by the book maintenance/repair and proper completion of aircraft daily maintenance and historical records.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and audit technical records that support airworthiness of all aircraft and parts/components.
  • Perform inspection of aircraft and components during removal, disassembly, assembly, installation and adjustment phases.
  • Ensure all Work In Progress is properly documented and corrective actions recorded per TAMMS (A) and SOPs.
  • Ensure proper aircraft historical record updates to avoid over flights of component SSL, overhaul or retirement schedule.
  • Execute all OEM Bulletins, Maintenance and Safety messages timely and accurately.
  • Submit Product Quality Deficiency Reports when required and assist during aircraft incidents and accidents.
  • Provide Quality Control oversight of all aircraft modifications.
  • Test tightness of airframe connections and inspect fit of parts using hand tools, flashlight, and mirror.
  • Determine accuracy of installation using protractor, micrometer, calipers, and gauges.
  • Perform duties of Quality Control Supervisor in his absence.
  • Perform scheduled facility audits for safety and policy compliance.
  • Perform QC duties away from base on temporary duty if required.

Qualifications

  • Technical expert for assigned aircraft/workshop.
  • Knowledge of DA Pamphlet and TM 1 1 technical publications.
  • Proficiency in using inspection tools such as protractor, micrometer, calipers, and gauges.
  • Familiarity with TAMMS (A) requirements and approved SOPs.
  • Ability to prepare technical reports, correspondence, and contract documents.
