About the Role
GAL is seeking an Avionics Aircraft Technician II to perform large and complex aircraft maintenance and repairs on the C295 platform. The role involves testing, repairing, and inspecting avionics equipment, leading scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, and providing on-the-job training.

Responsibilities
- Perform large and highly complex aircraft maintenance and repairs in accordance with applicable technical orders, standards and regulations
- Adjust, repair or replace defective components based on analysis of test results
- Examine and inspect calibration on installed or repaired equipment to prescribed specifications
- Test avionics equipment under simulated or actual operating conditions to determine performance and airworthiness
- Lead scheduled service and maintenance tasks to aircraft avionic system components
- Lead unscheduled maintenance, repair and troubleshooting tasks assigned to aircraft systems
- Examine and test repaired components and systems according to standards and procedures and approve the process before signing off
- Review and inspect maintenance forms, aircraft records, automated maintenance data systems, and historical reports
- Lead avionics equipment checks to ensure they are working appropriately on launch and recovery aircraft
- Provide on the job training and coaching to technicians and senior technicians
Requirements
- Bachelor, Higher Diploma or Diploma or skill level 7 certified in Avionics
- Minimum of 6 – 8 years of experience within maintenance operations area at an airbase
- Proven hands on experience on Airbus C295 or ATR 72 Series
- Knowledge of aircraft launching and recovering processes
- Knowledge of basic maintenance processes and procedures
- Understanding of aircraft structure, components, troubleshooting, wiring system and functions

About the Role
- To perform large and highly complex aircraft maintenance and repairs in accordance with applicable technical orders, standards and regulations, and job guides.
- Perform O, I and D Level when its applicable.
Responsibilities
- Follow the day to day operations related to own job to ensure continuity of work.
- Adjust, repair or replace defective components based on analysis of test results, following blueprints, schematics, handbooks, and other technical documents, using hand tools.
- Examine and inspect calibration on installed or repaired equipment to prescribed specifications and ensure performance of task based on standard procedure.
- Test avionics equipment under simulated or actual operating conditions to determine performance and airworthiness, using test equipment, such as oscilloscopes, digital meters and counters, and circuit analysers.
- Lead scheduled service and maintenance tasks to aircraft avionic system components and advise on problems with maintaining, servicing, and inspecting avionic aircraft system and related aerospace equipment.
- Lead unscheduled maintenance, repair and troubleshooting tasks assigned to aircraft systems, components, and related equipment and ensure the right implementation of procedures.
- Examine and test repaired components and systems according to standards and procedures and approve the process before signing off.
- Review and inspect maintenance forms, aircraft records, automated maintenance data systems, and historical reports as required to ensure complete documentation and sign of for the supervisor’s approval.
- Report findings and issues to supervisor and collaborate with the supervisor to assess the problem and lead the implementation of the adopted solution.
- Lead avionics equipment checks to ensure they are working appropriately on launch and recovery aircraft.
- Lead installation and maintaining of visual landing aids as instructed and according to adopted procedures.
- Maintain logs of airplane launches, recoveries, and equipment maintenance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor, Higher Diploma or Diploma or skill level 7 certified in Avionics.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 6 – 8 years of experience within maintenance operations area at an airbase.
- Proven hands on experience on Airbus C295 or ATR 72 Series.
