About the Role

- Perform technical instruction on aircraft maintenance, general technical training, and specialist technical training topics
- Provide technical information, guidance, and support to product design specialists
- Review, assist in development of, and recommend changes to course material
- Conduct classroom and platform instruction in line with training schedules
- Produce required reports for each course delivered
- Contribute to internal validation activities to ensure training effectiveness
- Maintain classroom discipline and manage the learning process of trainees
- Maintain trainee records such as attendance and prepare resources and materials for instruction
- Perform any other duties as assigned by line management
Requirements
- Civilian aircraft maintenance licence or certificate (e.g., A&P or B1/B2) or military aircraft maintenance trade licence or certificate
- Minimum 8 years experience qualified in aircraft maintenance trade
- Minimum 3 years experience on aircraft type
- Minimum 3 to 5 years experience teaching technical (maintenance) material
- Instructional techniques / 'Train the Trainer' certificate or approval by civilian/military agency
- Bachelor's degree in aircraft maintenance discipline is highly desirable
- Prior experience working with military aviation units is preferred
- Knowledge of training methodologies using SAT or ADDIE is highly desirable

Role Overview
- The instructor will conduct and assist in the development of maintenance training programs to enhance the skills of trainees.
- The instructor will conduct technical instruction within their specified trade and knowledge areas.
- The instructor will conduct trainee assessments and provide remedial training where necessary.
- The instructor will review/amend course material to ensure training effectiveness.
- The instructor will maintain records of training activities and student attendance.
Responsibilities
- Perform technical instruction on a range of technical training including aircraft maintenance, general technical training and specialist technical training topics.
- Provide necessary technical information, guidance, and support to product design specialists.
- Review, assist in the development of, and/or recommend changes of course material to line management.
- Conduct classroom and platform instruction in line with training schedules.
- Produce required reports for each course delivered.
- Contribute to internal validation activities to ensure effectiveness of training.
- Maintain classroom discipline and manage the learning process of trainees.
- Responsible for general housekeeping for all assigned areas.
- Maintain trainee records such as attendance, and prepare resources and materials required for instruction.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by line management.
Minimum Qualifications
- Civilian aircraft maintenance licence or certificate, e.g. (Mechanical) A&P certificate or B1/B2 licence; and/or Military aircraft maintenance trade licence or certificate.
- Bachelor's degree in an aircraft maintenance discipline (Airframe/Powerplant; Electrical/Avionics; Aircraft Maintenance technology) is highly desirable.
- Instructional techniques / 'Train the Trainer' certificate and/or acceptance/approval/certification by a civilian/military agency/organization.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 8 years experience qualified in aircraft maintenance trade.
- Minimum of 3 years experience on aircraft type.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years experience teaching technical (maintenance) material with a related aircraft/engine/major component manufacturer, or within a military/civilian aircraft maintenance organization.
- Prior experience working with military aviation units is preferred.
- Knowledge of, and experience in, training methodologies and management utilizing a systems approach (SAT or ADDIE) is highly desirable.
