- Meeting clients or account managers to discuss business objectives and requirements
- Interpreting client's business needs and developing a concept to suit their purpose
- Estimating time required to complete work and providing quotes for clients
- Developing design briefs by gathering information and data through research
- Thinking creatively to produce new ideas and concepts
- Presenting finalized ideas and concepts to clients or account managers
- Working with a wide range of media, including photography and computer aided design (CAD)
- Proofreading to produce accurate and high quality work
- Working on layouts and art working pages ready for print
- Keeping abreast of emerging technologies in new media
- Developing interactive design
- Supporting GAL Events planner / Communications team for any GAL events
Requirements
- Bachelor Degree preferably in Art or Design Graphics
- Minimum of 3 years experience in the Adobe design suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign etc.) and other image manipulation software
- Experience in developing design brief, illustrative sketches and layouts in a Design Development Life Cycle
- Experience with Video editing and photography
- Must be able to read, write and understand English
- Experience in HTML, CSS & Flash is an advantage

Role Overview
- The Graphic Designer is responsible for creating design solutions that have a high visual impact.
- The role involves listening to clients and understanding their needs before making design decisions.
- Designs are required for websites, digital publishing, advertising, brochures, posters, product packaging, exhibitions, corporate communications, and corporate identity.
Minimum Qualification
- Possess a Bachelor Degree preferably in Art or Design Graphics.
- Experience in HTML, CSS & Flash is an advantage.
- Working knowledge of creating a design brief, illustrative sketches and Design Solution.
- Understanding of the Design Development Life Cycle to produce a Design Solution.
Experience
