Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit technical submittals, Material Approval Requests (MAR), compliance statements, and product documentation
- Review project specifications, contract documents, door schedules, and consultant requirements
- Prepare technical compliance reports and product comparison sheets
- Coordinate with consultants and clients to obtain technical approvals and resolve review comments
- Track submittal status and maintain accurate submission logs and approval records
- Coordinate with drafting teams for preparation and submission of shop drawings
- Review shop drawings to ensure compliance with approved specifications and project requirements
- Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers to obtain technical data sheets, fire test certificates, product certifications, and other required documentation
- Ensure compliance with Civil Defense regulations and fire rated door standards
- Maintain records of approvals, certifications, and fire test reports
- Support preparation of Operation & Maintenance (O&M) Manuals and project close out documentation
- Coordinate with estimation, procurement, production, and project teams to support project execution
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline
- 2–5 years of experience in technical submittals within the metal doors and fire rated doors industry
- Strong knowledge of fire rated door systems, steel doors, door frames, and architectural hardware
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and door schedules
- Experience preparing material submittals, technical compliance documents, and consultant approval submissions
- Familiarity with Civil Defense approval requirements and fire rated door certifications
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Strong communication, coordination, and documentation skills

Job Summary
- The Technical Submittal Engineer will be responsible for preparing, reviewing, and managing technical submittals, material approvals, shop drawing submissions, and compliance documentation for metal doors and fire rated door projects.
- The role ensures timely consultant approvals and compliance with project specifications, Civil Defense requirements, and applicable fire rated door standards.

Qualifications
