Role Responsibilities

  • Act as the main coordination point between the Design Team and Project Management Team for all technical matters.
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of instrumentation and control systems, including cables, panels, LV systems, instruments, actuators, PLC, VFD, SCADA, BMS, and related accessories.
  • Review Process Flow Diagram, Piping & Instrumentation Diagram, Instrument hook up drawings and other related technical documents.
  • Review contract documents and prepare the material and shop drawing registers.
  • Ensure that the project scope, submittals, drawings, and design comply with contract documents, addendums, value engineering proposals, and technical queries.
  • Coordinate with the planner and Project Manager to define submission priorities and timelines.
  • Work closely with designers to address and resolve design related concerns, particularly for design and build projects.
  • Coordinate the preparation, review, and issuance of shop drawings and SFC — Issued for Construction drawings to site.
  • Support procurement by preparing and coordinating technical input for material and subcontractor bid packages for instrumentation and control systems.
  • Coordinate technical evaluations of supplier and subcontractor offers to ensure compliance with project specifications.
  • Review design drawings, documents and raise technical queries in cases of discrepancies.
  • Ensure that all drawings meet authority regulations and applicable codes/standards requirements.

Educational Qualifications, Experience and Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Instrumentation & Control or Electrical & Instrumentation)
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in Oil & Gas; previous experience in aviation fuel hydrant/fuel farm projects is an added advantage.
  • Proven expertise in Instrumentation and Control systems for fuel depot or terminals.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and AutoCAD.
  • Strong communication, follow up, reporting, coordination, and problem solving skills.
  • Driving License is optional.
