Role overview
The Technical Design Associate is described as a senior technical leadership role for interior architecture projects.
The role covers technical development, documentation, coordination, quality assurance, and post-contract delivery.
Projects include hospitality, F&B, private residences, offices, retail, and leisure spaces.
Technical delivery
- Lead technical development and documentation from design development through tender, IFC, and post-contract delivery.
- Review standards, authority requirements, specifications, and codes, and establish the technical approach for assigned projects.
- Ensure design drawings, specifications, schedules, and technical packages are coordinated, buildable, compliant, and complete.
- Identify technical risks, propose robust detailing and construction methodologies, and resolve complex technical issues.
- Provide technical direction, review deliverables, resolve coordination issues, and mentor technical staff.
- Administer SOPs, QA/QC procedures, checklists, and Project Quality Plans for post-contract services.
- Coordinate with design leadership, project managers, designers, CAD/BIM teams, consultants, manufacturers, and contractors.
