About This Role

Architecture and Engineering Responsibilities

• Translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and maintainable technical solutions.
• Produce architecture documents, diagrams, integration designs, and deployment models.
• Define API standards, service decomposition, configuration approaches, resiliency patterns, and deployment models.
• Review designs and code while ensuring scalability, performance, availability, reliability, security, and compliance.

Eventing, Workflow, and Data

• Design event-driven solutions using Apache Kafka, including topic structures, partitioning, schema governance, retries, and consumer groups.
• Design workflow-driven solutions using Camunda and/or Temporal for orchestration, compensation, retries, and state management.
• Define MongoDB data architecture, schema design, indexing, performance tuning, lifecycle management, and high availability.

Operations and Leadership

• Define observability and logging standards covering structured logs, distributed tracing, metrics, correlation IDs, and alerting.
• Support DevSecOps, CI/CD adoption, deployment automation, production readiness, disaster recovery, and operational excellence.
• Conduct architecture reviews, design walkthroughs, governance assessments, risk assessments, and compliance activities.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship across architecture, development, testing, and production support functions.

Experience

• 10+ years of experience in software engineering and solution design.
• 5+ years of experience architecting or leading the design of microservices-based distributed systems.
• Experience in large-scale enterprise environments supporting critical business applications.
• Experience with modernization, transformation, or migration initiatives.

Technical Expertise

• Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot for microservices and REST API development.
• Proven expertise in Apache Kafka and event-driven architecture patterns.
• Strong knowledge of SLF4J, Logback, and Log4j2 logging frameworks.
• Solid MongoDB experience including schema design, indexing, performance optimization, and operational management.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, or comparable cloud-native platforms.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, version control systems, deployment automation, and observability platforms.
