About the Role
Al-Futtaim Automotive is hiring a Technical Advisor for BYD Aftersales to provide expert technical guidance on advanced vehicle diagnostics, support service advisors and technicians, and ensure complex customer concerns are resolved.

Responsibilities
- Support service advisors during customer intake for advanced diagnostic cases
- Conduct road tests and observations with customers to understand vehicle issues
- Provide hands on technical support to diagnostic technicians throughout repair process
- Review and support warranty repair processes, ensuring correct documentation
- Ensure diagnostic tools and equipment are available, updated, and maintained
- Collaborate with technical, warranty, branch, and training teams to improve repair quality
- Coach and support technicians through technical information sharing and on the job guidance
Requirements
- High school qualification in automotive or related technical field
- IMI or similar EV/PHEV certification preferred
- Valid UAE driving license mandatory
- Minimum 5 years overall automotive dealership workshop experience
- At least 2 years in similar Technical Advisor role or 3 years as Diagnostic Master Technician
- Experience with electric or hybrid vehicles preferred

What you will do
- Support service advisors during customer intake for advanced diagnostic cases.
- Conduct road tests and observations with customers where required.
- Provide hands on technical support to diagnostic technicians throughout repair process.
- Review and support warranty repair processes, ensuring correct documentation.
- Ensure diagnostic tools and equipment are available, updated, calibrated, and maintained.
- Collaborate with technical, warranty, branch, and training teams to improve repair quality.
- Coach and support technicians through technical information sharing and on the job guidance.
- Follow HSSE, 5S, SOPs, and principal standards to maintain safe workshop environment.
Required skills to be successful
- Strong technical diagnostic capability within automotive workshop environment.
- Ability to identify, replicate, and resolve complex vehicle faults accurately.
- Good understanding of warranty repair processes, technical reporting, and principal standards.
- Hands on experience using diagnostic tools and workshop equipment.
- Strong communication skills in English; Arabic language skills highly preferred.
- Customer focused approach with ability to explain technical concerns clearly.
- Problem solving mindset with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure in fast paced, multicultural environment.
- Continuous improvement mindset with ability to coach and support technicians.
What equips you for the role
- High school qualification in automotive or related technical field.
