Responsibilities
- Lead all commercial and quantity surveying functions on MEP projects from award to final account settlement
- Ensure maximum commercial recovery and effective cost control
- Perform proactive contract administration and variation management
- Manage subcontractor relations and ensure compliance with company procedures
- Ensure accurate and timely submission of monthly applications
- Identify, price, submit, track, and agree on all variations
- Perform accurate monthly cost value reconciliation (CVR) and forecasting
- Issue timely notices and prepare EOT submissions and claims
- Review, certify, and agree on subcontractor applications, variations, and final accounts
- Ensure early agreement and closure of final accounts with all stakeholders
- Identify and mitigate contractual and commercial risks impacting project profitability
- Professionally manage commercial discussions and negotiations with clients and consultants
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or quantity surveying
- Professional Quantity Surveying qualification preferred (MRICS / AIQS / CIOB or equivalent)
- Minimum 10 years' experience in Quantity Surveying and Commercial Management
- 5 years in UAE/GCC MEP contracting
- Proven experience managing large scale MEP projects and handling claims, EOTs, and variation management

Overview of the Role
- The Senior Quantity Surveyor is responsible for leading all commercial and quantity surveying functions on MEP projects.
- This role ensures maximum commercial recovery and adherence to effective cost control measures.
- Success is measured by accurate monthly valuations, effective variation management, and strong final account settlement practices.
What You Will Do
- Lead all commercial and quantity surveying functions on MEP projects from award to final account settlement.
- Ensure maximum commercial recovery and effective cost control.
- Perform proactive contract administration and variation management.
- Manage subcontractor relations and ensure compliance with company procedures and commercial governance requirements.
- Ensure accurate and timely submission of monthly applications.
- Achieve certification in line with project cash flow forecasts.
- Identify, price, submit, track, and agree on all variations.
- Maximize project revenue recovery through effective variation management.
- Perform accurate monthly cost value reconciliation (CVR) and forecasting.
- Provide clear CTC reports and margin protection.
- Issue timely notices and prepare EOT submissions and claims.
- Maintain comprehensive contractual records.
Required Skills To Be Successful
- Advanced MEP measurement and valuation skills.
- Strong contract administration and claims management capability.
- Excellent cost reporting and forecasting skills.
- Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics.
What Qualifies You For The Role
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or quantity surveying.
