Teaching Assistant /Graduate Teaching Assistant

Job Purpose

Teaching and Student Support

• Support faculty members in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching activities.
• Organize joint tutorials and conduct independent tutorials under faculty supervision.
• Provide limited faculty coverage during absences for research conferences.
• Participate in online and face-to-face class discussions and exercises.
• Hold weekly office hours to assist students with course difficulties.

Course and Assessment Support

• Prepare, compile, and upload course materials, assignments, and learning resources to the learning management system.
• Record attendance, absences, and student assessment results.
• Assist with exam proctoring, grade reporting, and grade uploads.
• Assist faculty members with assessments and grading.

Laboratory and Academic Support

• Conduct laboratory sessions when applicable and help ensure laboratories have required consumables.
• Observe laboratory equipment to help ensure it is maintained and operative.
• Assist faculty members with research activities.
• Support course file completion and accreditation documentation.
• Coordinate curriculum development and refinement.

Program and Quality Support

• Supervise and monitor program delivery and effectiveness against accreditation criteria and the business plan.
• Support quality assurance duties for the College of Business.
• Perform other duties directed by the Dean.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field for a Teaching Assistant or master's degree in a related field for a Graduate Teaching Assistant.
• High GPA and distinguished academic performance are required.
• Professional certification is preferred.
• 3-5 years of experience in a related field.
• English is required; Arabic is preferred.

• Willingness to work flexible hours based on College needs.
• Communication, presentation, and computer skills are required.

Work Setting

• The role includes campus-based teaching support, laboratory activity when applicable, and online and face-to-face class participation.
