Position Overview
Abu Dhabi University is seeking a faculty member at the level of Assistant Professor in Public or Private Law.
Consideration may be given to Associate Professor candidates in special cases.
The College of Law offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral law programs, including programs in public law, private law, cyber law, and artificial intelligence.
Teaching and Research
- Teach law courses and demonstrate excellent teaching ability.
- Maintain active engagement with students in and outside the classroom.
- Conduct research and publish scholarly work, including Scopus publications.
- Engage clearly and demonstrably with research networks.
- Develop student activities and events.
- Contribute as a good university citizen.
Required Criteria
- A doctoral or equivalent qualification from an accredited institution is required.
- Assistant Professor candidates should have at least three years of full-time teaching and research experience.
- Candidates must demonstrate significant scholarly accomplishments and key research publications.
- Candidates must demonstrate excellent teaching ability and continuing student engagement.
- Applicants should be able to teach in English; Arabic teaching ability is encouraged, but English-only applicants are also encouraged to apply.
- Candidates must demonstrate a commitment to publishing Scopus publications and evidence-based engagement with research networks.
- Communication, teaching, presentation, and computer skills, including Microsoft Office, are required.
- Experience developing student activities and events and contributing to university life is required.
Teaching Qualification
- Applicants should have a teaching qualification or be willing to complete one under the UK HEA Fellowship Scheme.
