Role Overview
Support teachers and children in maintaining a clean, organized, safe, and stimulating nursery classroom.
Promote children's wellbeing through attentive care, hygiene support, activity assistance, and accurate recordkeeping.
Classroom and Resource Management
- Prepare classroom activities and maintain an orderly learning space, including materials, shelves, boards, and furniture.
- Clean the classroom at the end of each day and report damaged resources promptly.
- Sanitize toys and follow procedures that keep children's belongings and learning areas safe.
- Assist teachers with planning activities and provide support across different subjects.
Childcare and Wellbeing
- Monitor and record children's daily activities, meals, restroom breaks, and other relevant information.
- Support children's sleep transitions and meet their basic hygiene needs.
- Implement lesson plans and educational activities that support holistic child development.
- Report concerns and noteworthy progress to the lead teacher and maintain comprehensive records.
Schedule and Development
- Follow the daily schedule, observe break times, and remain available each day.
- Assist with settling children for naps as teachers conclude their day.
- Participate in required training and workshops related to early childhood education and wellbeing.
Qualifications
- Certification or diploma in early childhood education, Montessori education, elementary education, or a related field.
- Relevant Montessori certification, valid teaching certification, or CDA certification may support the role.
- One to three years of preschool or early childhood educator experience in a Montessori or similar setting.
- Teaching assistant training or relevant coursework.
Policies and Workplace
- Work is performed in person in Abu Dhabi within a nursery classroom environment.
- Follow nursery policies, procedures, health and safety guidelines, and childcare checklists.
- Contribute to a respectful and collaborative culture among colleagues and leaders.
Employment and Pay
- The position is full-time.
- Pay is AED 3,000 to AED 3,300 per month.
