About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Tax & Accounting Team Leader to lead a team of 6-7 accountants in a growing accounting and tax consultancy firm in Dubai. The role involves overseeing daily accounting operations, ensuring UAE regulatory compliance, managing client relationships, and supporting commercial growth.

- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of 6 7 accountants
- Allocate work, monitor performance, and ensure deadlines are met
- Conduct regular team reviews, coaching, and training
- Review bookkeeping, financial statements, and management reports
- Ensure accurate VAT and Corporate Tax compliance
- Review VAT returns, Corporate Tax filings, and financial reports before submission
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients
- Build long term relationships by providing proactive accounting and tax advice
- Identify opportunities to cross sell accounting, tax, payroll, and advisory services
- Support business development by participating in client presentations and proposals
- Develop and improve accounting processes and internal controls
- Drive automation and best practices within the finance team
Requirements
- 5 8+ years of experience in Accounting and Tax
- Minimum 2 3 years in a leadership or supervisory role
- Experience managing a team of 6 7 accountants
- Previous experience in a UAE Accounting, Tax, Audit, or Consultancy firm is mandatory
- Strong knowledge of UAE Corporate Tax, UAE VAT, Financial Reporting, Bookkeeping, Payroll
- Experience with Odoo ERP is highly preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce
- ACCA, CA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent professional qualification is an advantage

Role Overview
- We are looking for an experienced Tax & Accounting Team Leader to lead a team of 6–7 accountants within a growing accounting and tax consultancy firm.
- The successful candidate will oversee daily accounting operations, ensure compliance with UAE regulations, manage client relationships, and support the commercial growth of the business.
- This is a leadership role requiring strong technical expertise in accounting, VAT, Corporate Tax, and team management, along with excellent client facing and commercial skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of 6–7 accountants.
- Allocate work, monitor performance, and ensure deadlines are met.
- Conduct regular team reviews, coaching, and training.
- Maintain high standards of accuracy and service delivery.
- Review bookkeeping, financial statements, and management reports.
- Ensure accurate VAT and Corporate Tax compliance.
- Review VAT returns, Corporate Tax filings, and financial reports before submission.
- Ensure compliance with UAE accounting standards and FTA regulations.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients.
- Build long term relationships by providing proactive accounting and tax advice.
- Conduct client meetings and resolve technical queries.
- Ensure high levels of client satisfaction and retention.
Requirements
- 5–8+ years of experience in Accounting and Tax.
- Minimum 2–3 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Experience managing a team of 6–7 accountants.
- Previous experience in a UAE Accounting, Tax, Audit, or Consultancy firm is mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of UAE Corporate Tax, UAE VAT, Financial Reporting, Bookkeeping, Payroll.
- Experience with Odoo ERP is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Excellent leadership and people management skills.
- Strong commercial mindset with the ability to identify business opportunities.
- Outstanding client relationship and communication skills.
- Highly organized with strong problem solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
- ACCA, CA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent professional qualification is an advantage.
- Experience implementing or working extensively with Odoo ERP is highly desirable.
