Systems Engineer (UAE National)

About the Business Area

Key Responsibilities

• Configure and implement wealth management, brokerage, custody, and investment platforms, including product, market, fee, account, and workflow setup.
• Design integrations across wealth, brokerage, custody, market data, CRM, core banking, identity, and digital channel platforms.
• Support onboarding, investment servicing, trade processing, settlement, custody, asset servicing, and reporting functions.
• Participate in solution design, implementation planning, testing, releases, deployments, migrations, upgrades, and stabilization.
• Troubleshoot platform, integration, and data issues and provide L3 application support, root cause analysis, and performance improvements.
• Ensure platform configurations meet security, audit, compliance, and operational standards.

Core Domain Knowledge

• Strong understanding of wealth management, brokerage, custody, asset management, and investment servicing platforms.
• Knowledge of advisory, discretionary, and self-directed investment operating models.
• Understanding of investment products including equities, ETFs, mutual funds, fixed income, structured products, alternatives, and digital assets.
• Understanding of trade lifecycle activities including order capture, execution, settlement, reconciliation, custody, and corporate actions.
• Knowledge of onboarding, client servicing, KYC, investment suitability, portfolio management, OMS, PMS, and asset servicing ecosystems.
• Knowledge of banking controls, regulatory requirements, risk frameworks, and operational governance in wealth and brokerage businesses.

Technology Experience

• Experience with Java, .NET, scripting frameworks, platform-specific tools, REST APIs, event-driven architectures, web services, and enterprise integration patterns.
• Strong SQL experience with PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server, and exposure to NoSQL databases.
• Experience with microservices, containers, cloud-native deployment, AWS, Azure, IAM, SSO, OAuth2, OpenID Connect, RBAC, and segregation of duties.
• Experience with CI/CD, DevOps tooling, release automation, environment management, performance optimization, resilience, high availability, disaster recovery, and monitoring.
• Experience using JIRA, Confluence, Visio, Draw.io, Postman, Swagger, and API testing tools.

Candidate Requirements

• At least five years of experience in technology functions or digital organisations is required.
• A bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field is required.
• Strong hands-on platform implementation, configuration, customization, integration, analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and stakeholder communication experience is required.
