Role Overview
Oversee and coordinate mining activities at a designated mine site.
Lead mining operators while ensuring safety, environmental compliance, production efficiency, and effective equipment utilization.
What You Will Deliver
- Supervise drilling, blasting, loading, hauling, and dumping to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly targets.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, SOPs, and environmental standards.
- Conduct safety inspections, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
- Assign crew tasks, monitor performance, and provide coaching and training.
- Coordinate with mine planning and engineering teams to implement mine plans and optimize pit designs.
- Monitor equipment performance and coordinate maintenance to minimize downtime.
- Inspect equipment, infrastructure, and work areas for hazards and improvement opportunities.
- Maintain production records, shift reports, and equipment logs.
- Coordinate with geology, processing, and maintenance on ore delivery, grade control, and equipment scheduling.
- Manage consumables, fuel, labor resources, and operating costs.
- Promote teamwork, accountability, company policies, and continuous improvement.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in mining engineering, geology, or a related field.
- Minimum 5–7 years of experience in open-pit or underground mining operations.
- At least 2–3 years of supervisory or leadership experience.
- Mine planning, ore reserve estimation, and grade control knowledge.
- Proficiency in mining safety, risk management, and environmental compliance.

- Analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify inefficiencies, implement corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement.
- Additional certifications in mine supervision or leadership are advantageous.
