Job Purpose

Implement and execute ADNOC New Lifting Standard HSE ST-019 in the area of authority.

Prepare, review, and approve lifting operation plans and support lifting equipment operations, maintenance, and inspections.

Manage lifting equipment maintenance, inspection, replacement, and lifting plans for movement of loads in ADNOC Drilling.

Lifting and Integrity Accountabilities

  • Implement ADNOC Lifting Standard in the area of authority.
  • Promote staff engagement in integrity management practices and continuous improvement.
  • Assure lifting equipment integrity and provide technical input to integrity standards, inspection strategies, and programs.
  • Deploy approved third-party inspectors for required lifting equipment inspection, testing, and certification.
  • Ensure compliance with ADNOC permit-to-work requirements and job safety analysis.
  • Review and approve routine and non-routine lifting plans, escalating plans for technical or third-party review when required.
  • Refer deviations from lifting standards or applicable ADNOC HSE manuals to the lifting technical authority.
  • Coordinate and control lifts and select suitable lifting appliances and accessories.
  • Prepare lifting plans and ensure required controls are in place.
  • Ensure lifting equipment is maintained, inspected, certified, and suitable for use.
  • Verify load integrity, load stability, soil stability, and required inspection certificates.
  • Brief affected personnel, suspend lifts when conditions change, account for concurrent operations, and follow applicable codes of practice.

Minimum Qualification and Experience

  • B.Sc. in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
  • Seven years of hands-on rig lifting equipment and inspection experience in the oil and gas industry, including five years in a similar position.
  • Adequate experience in quality management systems.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English.
  • Computer literacy.
