Undertake accounting duties and prepare periodic statements in compliance with approved financial policies, standards, and procedures.
Job-specific accountabilities
- Prepare accounting records and financial statements in accordance with company policies, procedures, and timelines.
- Maintain ledgers, statements, accounting policies, procedures, and standards, and resolve discrepancies.
- Check, balance, and verify computer input data before accounting or financial transactions are processed.
- Allocate accounting codes and cost centers to processed transactions.
- Reconcile accounts periodically to ensure transactions are recorded accurately.
- Prepare supplier invoice payments by verifying amounts against contracts and submitting documentation for payment arrangement.
- Prepare cash flow projections to support liquidity planning.
External communications
- Contact consultants, third-party service providers, and government agencies as required.
Minimum qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Six years of experience.
- Professional certifications are noted as applicable in the source.
