Role overview
Lead a mobile development team and oversee delivery of mobile applications across iOS and Android platforms.
The role combines people leadership, hands-on technical problem-solving, project coordination, quality assurance, and process improvement.
Core responsibilities
- Lead and mentor mobile developers, assign work, set goals, and conduct performance evaluations.
- Oversee mobile application design, development, testing, deployment, performance, security, scalability, and usability.
- Collaborate with product managers, UX/UI designers, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams on scope and delivery.
- Manage the mobile development lifecycle, project risks, technical debt, and delivery timelines.
- Provide technical guidance, troubleshoot complex issues, and participate in coding as needed.
- Implement code reviews, automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, Agile practices, and DevOps practices.
- Incorporate user feedback and usability testing to improve mobile application interfaces and functionality.
- Provide project updates, facilitate knowledge sharing, and maintain comprehensive technical documentation.
Skills and abilities
- Maintain and update technical documentation for mobile application changes and enhancements.
- Align decisions and strategies with company leadership before implementation.
- Be flexible with working hours and weekends when required by project deadlines or client needs.
- Travel to various locations for project implementations, client meetings, and other business activities.
- Have extensive experience with Oracle, SQL, MySQL, or MongoDB.
- Have hands-on development experience with Xcode, Android, Java, and Flutter.
- Have extensive experience with Figma and other UI design tools.
- Have experience developing healthcare mobile applications integrated with HIS, EMR/EHR, LIS, or other clinical systems.
Experience and education
- Have 3–5 years of experience in mobile application development across iOS and Android.
- Hold a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
Language and certification
- Have excellent oral and written command of English and Arabic.
- Hold an SCE license or certification.
