Responsibilities
- Ensure staff work as a team. Inspect personal appearance and attire and rectify deficiencies.
- Communicate with guests, other employees, or departments to meet guest needs.
- Attend to and try to fulfill any special banquet event preparations.
- Organize the banquet room ensuring cleanliness and proper setup of furniture and equipment.
- Inspect and maintain table organization to meet group requirements and company standards.
- Document pertinent information in appropriate department records.
- Assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees.
- Cultivate and maintain positive working relationships and support team to achieve common goals.
Requirements
- Comply with all company safety policies and procedures; report maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries.
- Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional.
- Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets.
- Support all coworkers and treat them with dignity and respect.
- Meet quality assurance expectations and standards.
- Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
- Assist with moving, lifting, carrying, and placing objects weighing more than 75 pounds.
- Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.
- Read and visually verify information in various formats.
- Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of various sizes and weights.
- Reach overhead and below knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
- Move over inclined, uneven, or slippery surfaces and stairs.
Desired Aptitudes
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Related work experience: At least 1 year.
- Supervisory experience: At least 1 year.
- License or certification: None.
