Role Overview
The role is for a detail-oriented Structural Inspector joining a supervision team in Dubai.
The inspector will help ensure structural site works comply with approved drawings, method statements, UAE authority regulations, quality requirements, and safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Conduct daily inspections of structural works and monitor contractor activities.
- Issue Site Observation Reports and Non-Conformance Reports for deviations.
- Review concrete, reinforcement, formwork, steel, foundations, and related structural works.
- Verify testing, documentation, quality records, ITPs, and QA/QC procedures.
- Coordinate corrective actions with project stakeholders and contractors.
- Maintain inspection records, photographs, technical comments, and compliance notes.
- Use digital inspection platforms and communicate findings through technical reports.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- At least 8 years of structural site inspection experience in the UAE construction industry.
- Knowledge of structural materials, workmanship, defects, UAE codes, authority requirements, and international standards.
- Ability to interpret IFC drawings, shop drawings, specifications, ITPs, and method statements.
- Proficiency in inspection tools, site testing coordination, documentation, and technical report writing.
- Strong analytical, communication, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Valid UAE driver’s license and ability to travel between project sites.
- Ability to access constrained or elevated structural locations and work safely in varying site conditions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Consultant experience is preferred.
- OSHA, NEBOSH, or equivalent site safety certification is preferred.
- Experience with NCRs, SORs, inspection software, digital documentation, concrete testing, and visual inspection records is preferred.
- Arabic language proficiency and immediate availability are preferred.
