Role Overview
This mid-level Structural Engineer role is based in Toronto and focuses on structural analysis and design of commercial, residential, and institutional building systems.
The role contributes to project delivery from conceptual design through construction.
Workplace
- The role operates in a hybrid work model requiring a minimum of 60% onsite presence.
Responsibilities
- Prepare engineering service proposals and support project scoping and cost estimation for senior review.
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, regulatory bodies, architects, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Execute structural analysis and deliver design calculations and stamped engineering drawings.
- Lead design efforts and oversee project scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
- Review and validate designs and technical outputs for junior engineers and project deliverables.
- Develop construction drawings, tender documentation, and permit submissions.
- Provide ongoing technical advisory support to clients throughout project lifecycles.
- Conduct site inspections and construction reviews to ensure design compliance.
- Prepare engineering reports, specifications, and technical documentation.
