Responsibilities
- Prepare structural designs, calculations, and analysis for fit out, refurbishment, and building modification projects
- Design structural elements including steel beams, columns, lintels, connection details, support frames, platforms, equipment foundations, and structural framing
- Design reinforcement and strengthening solutions for slab openings, wall removals, beam modifications, core drilling, and service penetrations
- Develop retrofitting solutions using reinforced concrete, structural steel, anchoring systems, carbon fibre (FRP), and other strengthening techniques
- Perform structural assessments of existing buildings and evaluate the impact of proposed alterations
- Prepare structural calculation reports, design reports, and engineering justifications
- Produce structural design drawings, reinforcement details, connection details, and fabrication drawings in coordination with drafting teams
- Review and approve structural shop drawings prepared by subcontractors and suppliers
- Coordinate with architectural, interior design, MEP, and project management teams during the design development process
- Liaise with consultants and approval authorities for structural design reviews and approval
- Provide engineering support to project execution teams during construction
- Conduct technical evaluations of value engineering proposals and alternative structural systems
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering with specialization in Structural Engineering
- Minimum 5–8 years of structural design experience, preferably in fit out, refurbishment, renovation, or building modification projects
- Experience designing reinforced concrete and structural steel systems
- Strong understanding of UAE building regulations and international design codes
- Proficiency in ETABS, SAFE, STAAD.Pro, SAP2000, or equivalent structural analysis software
- Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD
- Experience with Revit Structure and BIM workflows is preferred
- Familiarity with Tekla Structures or similar detailing software is an advantage
- Professional Engineer (PE) registration or equivalent certification is an advantage

Job Summary

- The role involves structural analysis, design of strengthening and retrofitting systems, preparation of engineering calculations and drawings, and coordination with architects, MEP engineers, consultants, and authorities.
Key Responsibilities Structural Design & Analysis
- Prepare structural designs, calculations, and analysis for fit out, refurbishment, and building modification projects.
- Design structural elements including steel beams, columns, lintels, connection details, support frames, platforms, equipment foundations, and structural framing.

- Ensure all engineering documentation complies with project specifications and applicable standards.
Key Responsibilities Design Coordination
- Coordinate with architectural, interior design, MEP, and project management teams during the design development process.
- Review architectural layouts to identify structural implications and recommend suitable engineering solutions.
- Coordinate structural openings, equipment loads, suspended systems, and service penetrations with MEP disciplines.
- Participate in design review meetings and provide technical recommendations to optimize constructability and project costs.
Key Responsibilities Authority & Consultant Coordination
- Liaise with consultants and approval authorities for structural design reviews and approval.
- Incorporate consultant comments and authority requirements into final structural design.
- Support the preparation of engineering submissions and technical documentation required for approvals.
Key Responsibilities Technical Support
- Provide engineering support to project execution teams during construction.
- Review site conditions and recommend design modifications where required.
- Assist in resolving structural design issues arising during construction.
- Conduct technical evaluations of value engineering proposals and alternative structural systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering with specialization in Structural Engineering.
- Minimum 5–8 years of structural design experience, preferably in fit out, refurbishment, renovation, or building modification projects.
- Experience designing reinforced concrete and structural steel systems.
- Strong understanding of UAE building regulations and international design codes.

Technical Skills
- Proficiency in ETABS, SAFE, STAAD.Pro, SAP2000, or equivalent structural analysis software.
