Jacobs is seeking a Structural Bridge Engineer to join our Baltimore team. In this key technical role, you will lead and execute complex structural engineering tasks on major transportation projects, with a strong focus on bridge and transportation structure design. You’ll serve as a senior technical expert and/or task lead on both local and nationally-recognized highway and rail projects, performing advanced structural analysis, guiding design development, and reviewing critical project documentation.
•Leading and performing complex structural analysis and design for highway and rail bridges and related transportation structures
•Developing and reviewing design plans, technical specifications, calculations, and engineering reports
•Providing technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers
•Coordinating with clients, internal teams, and external stakeholders
•Conducting occasional structural inspections as required

•BS in civil/structural engineering (MS/MCE Preferred)
•Minimum of 5 years' of demonstrated experience on various types of bridges, to include design, analysis, and plan development of new and rehabilitation projects
•Registered Professional Engineer (PE) in MD, or able to obtain in 3 months
•Experience working with MDOT SHA, MDTA, and MTA, including familiarity with SHA’s Guidelines and Procedures Memoranda, Structural Details, ProjectWise, and MDTA’s ASIR.

•Demonstrated experience on various bridge types, including prestressed concrete and steel superstructures, and substructure design

The base salary range for this position is $91,400.00 to $120,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
