Strategic Finance Manager

Role Overview

What You Will Own

• Lead financial controls and reporting, ensuring management information is accurate, validated, complete, and evidence-based.
• Improve repetitive finance processes and collaborate with engineering teams on automation.
• Reconcile payments from Airbnb, Booking.com, Expedia, direct reservations, and other distribution partners.
• Reconcile bank accounts and incoming transactions and resolve discrepancies.
• Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable and review supplier invoices and company expenses.
• Oversee statutory filings and corporate compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
• Coordinate with external accountants, tax advisers, auditors, and banking partners.
• Develop dashboards, evaluate performance, and maintain budgets, forecasts, and financial models.
• Track cash flow, identify risks and revenue leakage, and improve margins and property-level costs.
• Contribute to financial due diligence for acquisitions, investments, and expansion.
• Communicate financial findings and recommendations to founders and management.

What We Are Looking For

• Strong analytical ability, attention to detail, and commitment to financial accuracy.
• Strong understanding of accounting concepts and financial principles.
• Ability to work with significant volumes of financial and operational data.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets.
• Strong financial reconciliation, controls, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Commercial mindset with the ability to interpret and challenge financial results.
• Ownership, accountability, independence, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and confidence working with senior management.
• Interest in technology, automation, and AI for improving finance processes.
• Relevant experience is highly valuable but not mandatory.
• A relevant analytical degree is preferred, while exceptional applicants from other backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
