Strategic Finance Manager

Role Overview

What You Will Own

• Lead day-to-day financial controls and reporting and ensure management information is accurate, complete, validated, and evidence-based.
• Automate repetitive and manual finance processes in collaboration with engineering teams.
• Reconcile payments from booking platforms, commercial partners, and direct reservations.
• Reconcile bank accounts and incoming transactions and resolve discrepancies.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable and review supplier invoices and expenses.
• Oversee statutory filings and corporate compliance across several jurisdictions.
• Coordinate with accountants, tax advisers, auditors, and banking partners.
• Prepare landlord and property-owner financial statements when required.
• Develop dashboards and reporting tools for real-time company performance visibility.
• Evaluate performance across properties, cities, countries, and business units.
• Maintain budgets, forecasts, financial models, and cash-flow planning.
• Identify financial risks, revenue leakage, cost reduction, and margin improvement opportunities.

What We Are Looking For

• Strong analytical ability, confidence with numbers, and exceptional attention to detail.
• Strong understanding of accounting concepts and financial principles.
• Ability to work with significant volumes of financial and operational data.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets.
• Strong financial reconciliation, controls, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Commercial mindset and ability to interpret financial results and implications.
• Ownership, responsibility, accountability, and ability to work independently.
• Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and confidence with senior management.
• Interest in technology, automation, and AI for improving finance processes.
• Relevant experience in accounting, audit, investment banking, private equity, FP&A, consulting, hospitality, real estate, or high-growth startups is highly valuable.
• A degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Mathematics, or another analytical discipline is preferred.

Expected Results in 6–12 Months

• Develop a detailed understanding of financial performance across major areas of The Flex.
• Establish dependable monthly management reporting.
• Fully reconcile booking-platform and commercial-partner payments.
• Improve visibility into cash flow, profitability, and unit economics.
• Identify opportunities to lower costs and improve margins.
• Automate finance processes previously completed manually.
• Become a trusted financial partner to founders and management.
• Assume responsibility for increasingly important areas of the finance function.
