Job Summary
Responsible for receiving, storing, controlling, and issuing joinery materials, tools, hardware, and finished products.
Ensures accurate inventory records, proper material identification, and timely availability of materials for production and installation.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and inspect joinery materials, hardware, fittings, tools, and accessories.
- Check delivered materials against purchase orders, delivery notes, and invoices.
- Store and organize timber, MDF, plywood, veneer, laminates, adhesives, hardware, and fittings.
- Issue materials to the production team based on approved material requests.
- Maintain accurate stock records and update inventory systems regularly.
- Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly stock counts and reconcile discrepancies.
- Monitor minimum and maximum stock levels and inform management of shortages.
- Label, protect, and store materials according to requirements.
- Maintain records for damaged, rejected, returned, and obsolete materials.
- Coordinate with procurement, production, site teams, and suppliers.
- Prepare material issue notes, goods received notes, stock reports, and inventory documentation.
- Follow FIFO principles where applicable, particularly for adhesives, paints, and other time-sensitive materials.
