Role Overview
The Joinery Site Engineer supervises and coordinates joinery installation works at project sites.
The role ensures work complies with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and project schedules.
Site and Installation Responsibilities
- Supervise installation of doors, wardrobes, kitchens, wall panels, cabinets, reception counters, and other bespoke joinery items.
- Review shop drawings, construction drawings, material specifications, and approved samples before installation.
- Coordinate with project managers, site supervisors, subcontractors, consultants, and other trades.
- Take site measurements and verify dimensions before fabrication and installation.
- Monitor installation progress and resolve site issues, clashes, discrepancies, and technical problems.
Quality, Reporting, and Handover
- Check materials and finished joinery for quality, dimensions, finishes, and compliance with approved specifications.
- Prepare site reports, inspection requests, material inspection requests, snagging lists, and progress updates.
- Conduct inspections with consultants and clients and coordinate rectification of comments and snags.
- Maintain records of measurements, variations, revisions, and completed works and support final handover activities.
