Steel Project Manger

Role Overview

Project Planning and Coordination

• Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets for steel fabrication and erection projects.
• Coordinate with engineers, estimators, drafters, fabricators, and field teams.
• Review project drawings, specifications, and contracts.
• Identify scope changes and manage change orders.

Project Execution and Management

• Oversee fabrication and erection activities for compliance with design, schedule, and safety requirements.
• Monitor progress and performance using project management tools and reports.
• Manage material procurement, subcontractor coordination, and logistics.
• Conduct site visits and meetings with clients and field teams.

Financial and Risk Management

• Track project costs, invoices, budgets, and profitability.
• Prepare cost forecasts and financial reports for management and stakeholders.
• Identify and mitigate project risks and delays.

Quality and Safety Assurance

• Ensure compliance with company quality standards, project specifications, and industry codes including AISC, AWS, and OSHA.
• Promote and enforce safety policies and procedures on job sites.

Client and Stakeholder Communication

• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, engineers, and general contractors.
• Lead project meetings and provide regular progress updates.
• Resolve technical and contractual issues promptly and professionally.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil or Structural Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years of project management experience in structural or miscellaneous steel fabrication and erection.
• Proficiency with steel detailing drawings, fabrication processes, and erection methods.
• Familiarity with project management software such as Procore, MS Project, or Bluebeam.
• Strong understanding of AISC and AWS standards.

Additional Qualifications

• Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication abilities.
• Detail-oriented approach and problem-solving mindset.
• PMP, OSHA 30, or equivalent construction management credentials are preferred.
• Arabic language ability is listed in the source posting.

Work Environment

• The work combines office and field activities, including fabrication shop visits and job site inspections.
• Travel to project sites and client meetings is required as needed.
