- Monitor and provide care to patients at CCAD within the Emergency Medicine specialty
- Prescribe or administer medication, therapy and other specialized medical care to treat or prevent illness, disease or injury
- Analyze records, reports and test results to diagnose patient's medical condition
- Interact with patient to gather additional history and information about medical condition
- Explain procedures and discuss test results or prescribed treatments with patient
- Provide specific treatments and/or perform operations to treat patient medical conditions
- Liaise with other medical and non medical staff at CCAD to ensure quality patient treatment
- Take part in administrative functions such as committees, task forces and performance improvement measures
Requirements
- MD, MBBS, MBChB and completion of specialty qualification as per Recognized Specialty Certificate table
- For Tier 1 countries: not less than two years additional experience post qualification
- For Tier 2 countries: not less than five years additional experience post qualification
- Must hold a valid License/Registration to practice in home country and/or country of last employment
- Should meet Maintenance of Certification requirements (where applicable)

Job Summary
- This is a physician position responsible for applying medical knowledge and skills to diagnosis, prevention and treatment of illnesses for patients within the Integrated Hospital Care Institute – Emergency Medicine specialty at CCAD.
- This position treats patients directly and/or may make referrals to different members of the health care professional team.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Monitors and provides care to patients at CCAD within the Emergency Medicine specialty.
- Prescribes or administers medication, therapy and other specialized medical care.
- Analyzes records, reports and test results to diagnose patient's medical condition.
- Interacts with patient to gather additional history and information.
- Explains procedures and discusses test results or prescribed treatments with patient.
- Provides specific treatments and/or performs operations to treat patient medical conditions.
- Evaluates patient and records applicable notes for treatment and referral.
- Liaises with other medical and non medical staff to ensure quality patient treatment.
- Performs surgical procedures and operations as appropriate.
- Supplies and provides care in a culturally appropriate and sensitive manner.
- Follows ethical and regulatory guidelines.
- Takes part in administrative functions such as committees, task forces and performance improvement measures.
Experience Requirements
- For Physicians from Tier 1 countries: not less than two years additional experience post qualification.
- For Physicians from Tier 2 countries: not less than five years additional experience post qualification.
- Must hold a valid License/Registration to practice in their home country and/or country of last employment (where applicable).
- Should meet the Maintenance of Certification requirements (where applicable).
Education Requirements
- MD, MBBS, MBChB and completion of specialty qualification as per the Recognized Specialty Certificate table listed in Healthcare Professionals Qualification Requirements 2024.
