About the Role
Cleveland Clinic is seeking a Patient Care Nurse Assistant (PCNA) for the Med/Surg unit at Marymount Hospital. The role involves providing basic patient care under RN supervision, reporting changes in patient condition, and maintaining a clean environment.

Responsibilities
- Provide or assist with patient care under RN supervision including vital signs, weight, personal care, activities of daily living, patient transfers/transport, pulse oximetry, point of care testing, dressing changes, applying external monitoring devices, and removing urinary Foley catheter
- Report abnormal findings or changes in physical, mental, and emotional conditions to an RN
- Assist with keeping patients' rooms clean and orderly
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED
- BLS Certification through AHA or American Red Cross upon or within new hire period
- One year of recent full time patient care experience OR nursing student with one completed clinical rotation OR military experience as Hospital Corpsman, Combat Medic, or Medical Service Technician
- Demonstrate proficiency in applied mathematics and reading comprehension at minimum junior high level
- State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) preferred

Unit Overview
- Marymount Hospital's 2 East is a med/surg unit providing general medical care and pre /post operative care for orthopaedic surgical patients.
- 2 South provides general medical care and pre /post operative care for various surgical procedures.
- The multi disciplinary team includes RNs, physicians, nurse practitioners, PT/OT, dietitians, pharmacy, and case management.
Caregiver Responsibilities
- Provide or assist with patient care under RN supervision.
- Report abnormal findings or changes to RN.
- Assist with keeping patients' rooms clean and orderly.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED.
- BLS Certification through AHA or American Red Cross upon or within new hire period.
- One year of recent full time patient care experience OR nursing student with one completed clinical rotation OR military experience as Hospital Corpsman, Combat Medic, or Medical Service Technician.

Preferred Qualifications

Schedule
- Days from 7:00 a.m. – 7:30 p.m. with every other weekend and holiday requirements.
Pay Range
- Minimum hourly: $18.25
- Maximum hourly: $24.95
