Role overview
The Global Security Support Center Application Security team owns customer penetration testing and security findings programs.
The role focuses on ServiceNow instance security and configuration-driven security risks.
The position is a hands-on technical role combining application security expertise with deep ServiceNow platform knowledge.
Instance security and hardening
- Assess ServiceNow instance configurations against security baselines and identify risks to confidentiality, integrity, or availability.
- Develop hardening guidance covering authentication, access controls, encryption, logging, monitoring, and operational security.
- Translate security requirements and risk into actionable recommendations for teams with varying security maturity.
- Identify recurring misconfiguration patterns and improve guidance, tooling, and checks.
Application security findings
- Triage and validate customer-reported findings involving instance configuration or deployment patterns.
- Distinguish product vulnerabilities from configuration issues and document impact and remediation paths.
- Partner with Product Security, Engineering, and other Security teams on complex or high-impact findings.
