Role Overview
Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary project teams delivering civil engineering projects from early development through execution, completion, and handover.
Manage onshore and offshore projects with strong leadership, technical coordination, and project management expertise.
Deliver projects safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with company standards.
Mandatory Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering discipline from a recognized university.
- At least 12 years of experience in engineering and project management and in executing civil engineering projects.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience
- A master's degree or higher qualification in engineering or project management is an added advantage.
- Membership in a recognized professional engineering or project management institution, such as PMP, PMI, ICE, or equivalent, is an added advantage.
- Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams during feasibility studies, concept optimization studies, FEED, or EPIC is an added advantage.
Competencies and Skills
- Strong leadership, team-building, verbal and written communication, presentation, and report-writing skills.
- Ability to lead meetings, solve problems, make decisions, and work with internal and external stakeholders.
Project Leadership and Controls
- Lead project teams from inception through completion and handover and manage onshore and offshore projects.
- Prepare and maintain project execution and QHSE plans.
- Monitor planning, scheduling, cost control, budgeting, contract administration, progress reporting, change management, and gate approvals.
Engineering and Procurement
- Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams and resolve technical and engineering issues.
- Prepare tender packages and support technical tender evaluations, contractor submission reviews, and Tender Committee recommendations.
Risk, Contracts, and Stakeholders
- Maintain project risk registers and ensure risks are identified, mitigated, and managed.
- Interface with end users, authorities, joint venture partners, and third-party stakeholders.
- Evaluate and resolve project variations, contractor claims, and disputes.
Governance and People Development
- Contribute to company procedures and guidelines when assigned.
- Mentor and coach Qatari developees through on-the-job training and professional development.
