The Senior IT Systems Analyst acts as a liaison among stakeholders to elicit, analyze, communicate, and validate requirements for business process, policy, and information system changes.
The role supports internal and major IT projects while safeguarding project management, change management, documentation, training, quality, budget, and deadline standards.
Location and contract
- The position is based in Mesaieed, Qatar.
- The source description states an indefinite contract.
Key accountabilities
- Develop and monitor IT policies, procedures, and methodologies.
- Identify and document business requirements and process or system problems with users.
- Create process diagrams from business requirements and project specifications.
- Configure and maintain systems and software for end-user needs.
- Supervise programming activities and methodological compliance.
- Supervise unit and regression testing and coordinate user acceptance sign-offs.
- Evaluate software packages, third-party products, and applications.
- Investigate system malfunctions, identify root causes, and formulate remedial solutions.
- Research and recommend technical and functional solutions, products, and alternatives.
- Provide optimal support for operational issues and continual information systems improvement.
- Train trainees and newly hired personnel to perform assigned activities independently.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, management information systems, or a relevant discipline.
- 5–8 years of direct and relevant experience.
- Experience with various SAP modules, preferably SAP S/4HANA.
Additional role expectations
Review and approve system specifications, programming, and technical analysis for the team.
Take responsibility for the team’s project work schedule and translate business requirements into project outlines and plans.
Coordinate with subordinates on special projects and functional or technical support activities.
Perform activities in compliance with QAFCO occupational health, quality, safety, and environmental procedures.
Support customer satisfaction through timely and analytical responses to system and application problems.
