Sr. Engineering Inspector

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED, HiSet, TASC). Four years of related experience sufficient to understand the operational, technical, or office processes involved in the assignment. A valid North Carolina Class “C” Driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record obtained within a timeframe established by the City.

Other Qualifications

• Experience performing inspections and infrastructure walk-throughs of driveways, sidewalks, crosswalks, curbs, water, sewer, and storm drainage installations and other construction facilities. Experience coordinating construction inspections for complex projects and/or at multiple sites and troubleshooting construction issues. Experience inspecting and testing construction material quality, applications and construction processes; performing pressure and quality tests, identifying and making recommendations for correcting non-conforming issues. Experience preparing reports, maintaining documentation and records, reading plans and contracts, preparing punch lists for ongoing inspection, construction, and contractor work.
